A Leader Transition

An influential leader is created rather than born. The common misconception that  a personality consistent with boldness and control is what makes a great leader has kept many qualified men and women from transitioning into a leadership position.  We have leaders occupying roles where inflated egos, pride and heavy handedness are the benchmarks of their leadership style.  However, statistics show that people who feel most secure in their positions are led by leaders who display humility and appreciation for the overall team.

True leadership is displayed when confidence in their team’s abilities is as strong as, or stronger, than their own ability.

Social media has been a key factor in skewing the meaning of leadership.  Social media standards say leadership is defined by […]

Is Your Mindset Right?

After my marriage came to an end, I had a BIG decision to make.

I could either be a victim of my circumstance or I could make the decision to RISE above and fix my mindset on success. THIS REVELATION CAME AFTER MY MINDSET CHANGED.

Thought power became the key to creating my reality. I became the master of my destiny […]

How Integrity Leads to Success and Happiness

Some thoughts on integrity, success and happiness…

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” – Mahatma Gandhi

That sounds quite a bit like the definition of integrity, doesn’t it?

“Integrity: 1) An undivided or unbroken completeness or totality with nothing wanting, 2) Moral soundness.” (WordWeb)

It’s interesting that the phrase from Gandhi came up in a search for quotations on happiness, yet it is the very definition of integrity. This seems important to me because it means that consistency of thought AND action are critical to happiness.

For practical purposes, we might say that honesty is being true in what you say, while integrity is being true in what you do; honesty is giving your word, […]

You Have 3 Solutions to Every Problem Situation or Relationship

“There are three solutions to every problem: accept it, change it leave it.” – Anonymous

Imagine for a moment the following: Three people are working for a boss with a reputation as a relentless driver of others, pushing them to produce or find employment elsewhere. For the employee with a similar personality, driven to succeed at all costs, working for this person is ideal and they excel in such an environment.

For the person who is an outside the box thinker, this type of approach toward all on the team is unrealistic and less than productive, so they work to alter the boss’s approach and expectations. For our third employee, the compulsive goading and obsessive ambition are simply too much to take, […]

While many are apoplectic and seething, there are plenty of others who are optimistic and looking forward to positive changes. To both sides, I say, beware the self-indulgence of perpetually living in crisis mode; whether you believe we’re headed for one or have recently survived one (or many).

It’s one thing to recognize danger and take action to protect yourself and your family. To see every situation as an emergency however, is overly pessimistic and negative. The energy this creates is harmful, and will only attract negative vibration […]
